Tree lighting ceremony at the Capitol Building

Tuesday December 4th the Andrus Elementary 4th & 5th grade honor choir performed for Govenor Butch Otter at the annual Capitol Christmas tree lightening ceremony. We couldn't get a picture of bailey in action....but did get a picture of her in front of the lit tree. After the performance bailey got to go up in part of the Capitol building to hear the 1st Lady read a Christmas story and get her picture taken with the Govenor.

Tuesday the 12th, KBCI channel 2 will be taping "Christmas at the Cathedral" where the Andrus honor choir will be performing again. The Cathedral of the Rockies is a beautiful historical Cathedral in downtown Boise. The 4th grade honor choir may make it on the evening news! Stay tuned....

No more braces!!!

What a difference a year makes!

8.16.06 was the first day bailey got her braces on...

1 year later....

11.26.07 and the braces came off!

For now the retainer has a fake tooth that will be replaced by a permanent one once her mouth has finished growing. Until then, she is looking to challenge Grandma June and her friends to see who can take their teeth out the fastest!!

Seattle get-a-way

According to the Miller's, i have been slacking and need to get blogging. Apparently, their blog is WAY more up to date...

Recently Bailey and I ran the Women's Fitness Challenge, Jason and i ran Barber to Boise & then we took Gracie for the annual See Spot Walk which is a fundraiser for the Idaho Humane Society. Of course i didn't have the camera for any of those events.... but i did manage to take it for our next little adventure...

Jason and i hung out in Seattle last weekend and had a great time! we shopped a 12 block radius from our Hotel, which was 3 blocks from Pikes Market. 2 days with a 2-story Ann Taylor and Nike & a 4-story Nordy's; we had a blast. We did take the monorail over to the Space Needle and attempted to take in a little history.... we decided to shop our way back to the hotel instead! It was GREAT!!!

jason was excited to get down to the original Starbucks for a coffee. Nevermind the fact that we passed by 4 other starbucks to get there; we managed to find our way down to the original Starbucky's for a little java!

Of course we had to stop at Pikes and watch them throw fish and cheer something about having crabs??? I don't know what they meant, but jason seemed to relate!!???

Anyway, they had the ugliest Munk fish tied to a rope that they would flip around and scare people that passed by. Thankfully i'd seen the trick before i got close enough for a photo! He really is an ugly fish!

I was most impressed with the avacado's. $2.99 for a grapefruit sized avacado. i paid $2.99 for a walnut sized avacado that ended up being black inside!!

Disco Fever....

Bailey and 9 of her wild and crazy friends partied like Disco Dancers all night long... well untill 8:30 anyways! Check out the karaoke and dance contest pictures, i think we played 1500 rounds of freeze frame dancing!!











Uh-huh... that is her disco dad partying like a rock star as well! ... and yes she is checking to see if any of her friends noticed!

Team Gootch

The Gootch and Kate invited us to spend the last warm day of the season with them and help close down their community pool. Bailey was delighted to swim with Kate...i was a nervous wreck, but Bailey did great & would love it if we could just keep the little Katers! Any chance Laurie????

Bailey's Bug

there was a praying mantis in our back yard the other night that posed while bailey snapped it's picture! She was very proud of her pictures & thought her aunt kim would be proud!

the kearns camping trips...
We took bailey and her friend margaret camping with our friends and their family. It was chilly!! We decided that although we had a great time, it would be our last memorial day camping trip. brrrrr

jason, gracie and i went to Redfish Lake a couple of weekends ago and it was beautiful!! gracie went swimming for the first time & turned out to be a great hiking pup on the boulders climbing up along the river.
